Fernworthy Forest

I spent a long time (ten steps, photo, ten steps, photo…) creeping up on the buzzard, to discover that it was a buzzard. A proper naturalist would have saved time by knowing he was a buzzard to start with – and not bothering. The clouded yellows have been amazing this year – I don’t remember seeing one before. Young honey fungus always looks impressively muscular.
