A little too breezy for basking on flowerheads. The Oedemera nobilis (which I shall look up to see if it has a useable name… …a choice of three: false oil beetle, thick-legged flower beetle or swollen-thighed beetle) looks quite good on grass stalks. And, as ever, the yellowhammer was stunning in the sunshine.
