If a hare comes towards you, you stand still and just keep clicking. A few minutes later, the other side of the stream, if two hares come towards you and chase each other in and out of the hedge towards and away from you… …you stand still and just keep clicking.
…and then there was a partridge, an orange tip, a handsome bluebottle and I timed the swing of the camera right to catch the swallow. But really, it was all about the hares.
[PS. Yesterday – where the dead fox-cub was, all that was left was a leg and shoulder blade. Today, the leg and shoulder blade was the other way up and I looked more closely at the foot. So, the mystery is, why is the remains of a dead muntjac (presumably), lying exactly where the dead foxcub was a day earlier?]
