An afternoon walk. Hot! Lots of 6-spot Burnet moths, a fine grasshopper, a yellow and black ‘Clubbed General’ soldier fly, lots of damselflies, including Ishnura elegans (the blue-tailed damselfly) and, all of a sudden, lots of little fish. Butterflies, on the other hand, were much more active and kept out of my way.
