Fernworthy
Drizzle! On the plus side the birds were busy. The first bird looked too small for a pipit and its head looked too brown for a dunnock. So I uploaded it to ispotnature who, without needing to say anything, told me not to be so silly, it was obviously a dunnock. Quite how you can specialise in behavioural ecology, attending lecture courses by Nick Davies without being able to identify a dunnock is a mystery. It was a while ago, to be fair. I also liked the blurry brambling and the cooperative (and very pale) buzzard but the blackbird in mid flight is my favourite.
