Fernworthy Forest

There ought to be a special circle of hell for people who take photos of common hawkers before rescuing them – it gratefully allowed me very close as it recovered. Tapered drone flies, a green lacewing, various butterflies (common blue, painted lady, small tortoiseshell, peacock, green-veined white, large white, speckled wood), a field grasshopper and golden chanterelles (apparently – although I’m not good at fungi – even the aristocratic ones).
