Fernworthy Forest
That’s a bit of a lie, the robin’s pincushions (mossy rose gall wasp) were by the Teign early this morning and, however beautiful, didn’t merit a page of their own. The seemingly unharmed dead faun was a bit of a mystery. The common stinkhorn, brown roll-rim, penny bun, poor man’s liquorice (black jelly drops, black bulgar) and wolf’s milk (aka groening’s slime is a cosmopolitan species of myxogastrid amoeba which is often mistaken for a fungus – according to Wikipedia) were more welcome. And I do like things with good names.
