Chagford Bridge – Suspension Bridge
A day in the sunshine helping to stabilise the bank with the National Trust and various volunteers. It was -6oC so I set off an hour earlier than I needed to and wandered along the river armed with the camera, working on the principle that you can never have enough photos of frosty brambles and catkins. The hedge which we inexpertly layered last year seems to have survived in spite of our best efforts. There are a robin, a great tit, a redwing(?), a fieldfare(?) and a wren. I also had a good view of a kingfisher as he flew the length of the river beside me but, although I was expecting him because someone else had seen him, he was far too quick!
