Rushford Mill – Deer Park – Whiddon Woods – Fingle Bridge
Frosty lichen, leaves and seed heads. A bramble flower caught my eye – does bramble often flower in December? An eye-like little tear in a tree trunk and, presumably, a gall. Lots of frilly bracket fungi. The heron was striking for fish at Fingle – ignoring me. There were two deer at least – only one cooperated. I also saw tree creepers, marsh tits and a green woodpecker but was much too slow to get the photos. I might revisit leaves on water.
