Chagford – Fingle Bridge

Gatekeepers, potato mirid (the one that looks like a shield bug), honeysuckle, sloes, red wasp (Vespula rufa), the very lovely but uninspiringly named green leafhopper, meadow grasshopper, robin’s pincushion (mossy rose gall wasp), spotted longhorn beetle, ornate-tailed digger wasp, pellucid hover fly, meadow brown, commas.

There were lots of commas and gatekeepers today. All a bit too breezy for things to pose – several marbled whites all refused to settle.
