Surprisingly icy round the forest road compared with the approach road. I rarely see red deer on the main path round the reservoir but it cleared the fence easily so I imagine they go in and out as they please. Lichens are a bit of a mystery to me – (powder headed tube lichen; farinose cartilage lichen; wart lichens; etc. ??) – maybe this year I’ll get to grips with them.
