Two Bridges – Black Dunghill – Langstone – White Barrow – Bagga Tor – Lynch Tor – Cocks Hill – Conies Down Tor – Beardown Man – Devil’s Tor – Rough Tor – Crow Tor – Wistman’s Wood – Two Bridges (18 miles)
I had a few awkward tors scattered around and decided to mop them up which made for an odd, long, but quite spectacular route. Dropping down and up from Conies Down Tor to Beardown Man was a surprising highlight. I had to make do with the phone today because my camera battery was flat – which was mostly fine because it was mainly granite and views, but beautiful photos of a deer and bullfinches didn’t happen. The only time I really missed it was when I couldn’t zoom in enough to see what the the big and surprisingly tolerant flock of waders were.
