Fernworthy:
Common lizard, pollen-smothered bumble bee, chiffchaff (?), ringlets, a goldcrest which refused to cooperate, a little grebe which insisted on diving as soon as I’d got it in focus but before I’d pressed the shutter, a pied wagtail, a bloody-nosed beetle, a noisy bird which refused to come out from behind the leaves, a white-legged fly (which it’s about time I looked up – Xylota segnis?), Slender St John’s Wort… …but it’s the lizard which steals the show.
