Chagford – Fingle Bridge

Alder catkins are always a much brighter purple than I expect them to be. Lots of puffed up feathers today. I just missed a very odd looking blue tit but the robins and dunnocks were more patient. The ravens looked much more sleek than normal – so they’re probably crows! – I’m not used to them confidently wandering on the ground in front of me.
