Scorhill – Hound Tor – Wild Tor – Hangingstone Hill – White Horse Hill – Teignhead Farm – Shovel Down:
Ten and a half miles of squelching around with the hound. Bog asphodel, sundew with seeds, cottongrass and Wild (rhymes with ‘filled’ according to Crossing’s Guide) Tor, a few moody skies, a pipit and a flypast by a wader. Slightly disconcerting to walk past the boundary markers into a firing range and to be able to hear them shooting on one of the others.
