Chagford – Fingle Bridge
I missed the eel that several people saw from Fingle bridge but I did see a kingfisher at Rushford bridge. It was all going on today – roe deer in Whiddon woods, chicken in the woods, black clock beetle, lesser spearwort, the wonderfully named seep monkeyflower, sessile oak, bilberry, orange bellied thricops fly, crambid snout moth (you’ll know it when you see it), brown trout, deer mushroom, common darter, common flesh fly, beefsteak polypore. I wish I’d seen the eel, though.
