Chagford – Murchington – Blackaton Copse – Providence – Throwleigh – Shilley Pool – Scorhill – Kestor – Leigh Bridge (14 miles)
Lots of sunshine (still surprisingly cold though). In sunny, sheltered spots there are catkins. Snowdrops and chaffinches think the season is changing. The fox (the wide head suggests he was a dog fox?) was incredibly tolerant of me until he saw my four legged assistant. The heron, high in a tree opposite Holystreet Manor, also completely ignored me. A day for skies and brooding (and very soggy) moorland.
