Fernworthy Forest – South Teign (yesterday)

More than a hint of Maurice Sendak in the first one. The trees up at the top of the forest have come down in swathes and there is a clearing which wasn’t there before – light where I expected dark etc. The stream (which might be the South Teign) is surprisingly deep – too deep for wellies – and full of plants, clean pebbles. The orange bog beacon fungi were a treat.
