Scorhill – Round Cosdon – Buttern Hill

This part of the moor is full of stone circles (I walked through three of them), boundary stones and a variety of bronze age settlements, a cist, stone rows, ancient walls, disused leats etc. A few rocks and a helicopter thrown in, for good measure. Birdwise: loads of ‘lbj’s and an unusually stately buzzard. Windswept, bleak, brown and boggy – just how I like it!
