Fernworthy
I’m not sure I’ll do a set of ‘algae that remind me of continents’ – but here’s Africa, just in case I do. Otherwise it was a day for black glistening rotting wood and moss – and holes – I might do a series on holes. Snowdrops and frogspawn to mark the arrival of Spring (the birds have known for a fortnight). I did wait for a couple of minutes for a frog to emerge from the depths where I’d caught a glimpse of it pootling around. Eventually I remembered that they were amphibious and admitted defeat. I can’t explain exactly why the dead leaf appeals to me – it just does.
