More wall following – Celandines being photogenic, flies, catkins, crossbills ignoring me [For those within striking distance: they’re in the trees to the left of the fallen tree opposite the big barn], a strange little toadstool that’s actually a lichen – Lichenomphalia umbellifera (mushroom lichen) – a lichen that fruits like an agaric. Both the buzzard and the wren tried hard to upstage the crossbills.
