Chagford – Fingle Bridge
I’ve photographed this stump every time I’ve gone past for the last two years and never noticed the coins – it’s amazing how selective vision is – I’ve always focused on the seasonal votive offerings on top. In amongst the moss, lichen and ferns – a witches’ broom gall, a dead branch that looks a bit like a giraffe’s head, a deer skull and celandines (Spring?).
