Fernworthy Forest
It seems I don’t ever get tired of dragonflies (or silver-washed fritillaries, red admirals and so on). The Southern hawkers have finally landed, I’ve found a red male common darter (I think) and the eyebright (tiny violet shaped flowers) was everywhere. The young goldfinches didn’t look very goldfinch-like but in spite of what my “seek” app tried to tell me when I pointed it at my on screen photos (linnet / brambling) I’m pretty sure that’s what they were. Obviously you can never get tired of patterns in bark or, with autumn on the way, toadstools.
