The moss fruiting bodies are street lamps from a more sensuous urban world, I think. The lamb was the wrong side of the fence, separated from its mother and didn’t want to be rescued. The pony nudged it towards me – which was a) surprising and b) remarkably trusting, thoughtful, caring, wise etc. etc. …and loads more texture.
