Fernworthy Forest – Edge of Moor
Rain turned into sleety snow as I got higher. I’m amazed it settled given how sodden everything is – but it did, and the moor looked spectacularly bleak – snow/sleet/hail/mist. In my dreams, the clear-felled conifer plantation will be reforested with suitable broadleaved trees – fingers crossed. I was dressed for the weather but didn’t fancy going onto the moor properly without a bit more kit – so I looked over the fence (grass is whiter etc.). The snow-wolf needs his nails clipped.
