Chagford – Fingle Bridge

Dry until promised downpours hit us later today so a wander to Fingle Bridge was in order. Autumn seems to be tipping into slushy mud before winter gets going. I’ve not noticed how spongy a robin’s hind claw (big toe?) is before. Puffballs, poor man’s liquorice, a blue tit with something unidentifiable in its bill, lots of sloes and decaying toadstools. The reflected log is clearly a dragon.
