Sunny and sufficiently frosty that the bogs were easy to walk over – crunchy rather than squelchy. I hadn’t meant to go for a walk today but the weather was so good it would have been rude not to. I forgot to check the range-firing times, but got lucky. One of those days when I felt good so I kept adding bits on. Lots of tors, ice, endless moorland, back-combed pony fringe, a hand grenade and a mistle thrush.
