I really ought to go to other places but the flower meadows are about to burst into a riot of knapweeds and butterflies and I don’t want to miss out. The inkcap seems a bit out of season but I found one in the Collins guide which looks pretty similar and it said ‘Spring – Autumn’ so maybe it’s OK. I liked the dead irises and it seems a very long time since I saw anything against a blue sky.
