Scorhill – Teign waterfall – Manga Crossing – Scorhill
Cuckoo, wheatears, reed buntings, a meadow pipit trying in its way to be free, a stallion showing off, a tiger beetle and bog beacon. Apart from the cuckoo which was singing away, today’s highlights were the copse of stunted trees on the wrong side of the Teign and the tiny violets. I’d promised myself a wander back on the far side of the Teign and it was stunning albeit boggy at times.
The wispy algae in the water was very odd and the green algae was spectacular (probably a sign of too much nutrient run-off).
