Rushford Bridge – Deer Park – Whiddon Wood – Fingle Bridge
I spent the whole walk being excited about a swimming water vole only to get home, enlarge the photo, and see that my water vole was sufficiently rat-like to be, in fact, a rat. The hound was far more interested in treeing squirrels. Also autumnal nails, flies, acorns, spiders’ webs, berries and toadstools. The weird double-exposure effect of the closer branches in front of the canopy was interesting. I’m still slightly crushed by the non-vole though.
