Murchington – Providence – Gidleigh Mill – Kestor Rock – Frenchbeer – Yardworthy – Meldon
I could hear the nuthatch singing (not much of a song, to be honest) but it took me ages to spot him – very busy at his hole. Lichens, moss and tree stumps all looking quite well in the sunshine and an extraordinary jelly-like fungus – I thought it was a slug at first. It’s not often you see the gate-posts being used properly.
