The pied flycatcher stole the show today. The carpet moth, the garden carpet moth, the pearl bordered fritillary, the swollen-thighed beetle, the perservering beetle climbing its grass stem and the mating and reflected common blue damselflies all deserve a mention – but the pied flycatcher was special!
