Fernworthy
The rain paused and I charged round Fernworthy – detouring through a bit of the forest, the marshy bit next to Thornworthy and the strange rowan/hawthorn copse beyond the dam. Butterflies (the highlight being a silver washed fritillary), hoverflies (must learn them – I did once), dragonflies (golden ringed; common darter?) and flies (including another, less orange-faced than last time, Tachinis grossa). Raspberries (very good), Rosebay Willowherb, umbellifers (must learn them – never have). Stone chats and linnets. Still a bit cold after lots of rain recently – but the sun did its best to come out.
