Fernworthy / Fernworthy Forest
They’ve opened up a new track at the top of the forest which, it turns out, is full of thistles, butterflies (red admirals, peacocks and a common blue) and dragonflies (southern hawkers, I think, but they wouldn’t land). Otherwise – more dragonflies (common darters and black darters, I think, but I’m not good on darters I get confused by the colour variations) and a southern hawker which would land, various flies, hoverflies, a handsome grasshopper.
