Chagford – Deer Park – Whiddon Woods – Fingle Bridge
Blackcap, hornet, baby goosander, broad-bodied chaser, cats-ears, large red damselfly, beautiful demoiselle, welsh chafer, small heath, painted lady (past her prime), dor beetle with dung, (less happily) ants with dor beetle, chicken of the woods (?), small tortoiseshell (don’t see many round here), wren, speckled longhorn beetle, two girdled digger wasp, redstart, gorse shield bug, mosaic puffball (seems a bit early in the year) … and various bits of grass.
In other news, my second hand replacement lens seems to be OK (they don’t make new ones any more). I knocked my last one a couple of weeks ago and it only autofocused on full zoom (which was a bit trying!).
