Fernworthy

The flower meadows are about to become a sea of knapweed. Grasshoppers are bouncing around, the first newly-emerged red admiral I’ve seen, flies and a green hairstreak auditioning for the part of tinners’ rabbits, various hoverflies… It’s amazing how a little sunshine can perk everything up. I think a hare crossed the road in front of me as I drove up from Chagford – I’ve not seen hares since I left Leicestershire.
