Fernworthy Forest
It’s odd how the walk starts with dead nettle-leaves catching the eye, and ends with counting tines. Re: tine-counting… 14 is my best guess (5 Left, 4 Right, 5 Front), which makes him Imperial. It was a little bit late in the day for photographs – but I think it’s a kestrel. The young stag was part of the big stag’s entourage.
